Bootstrap Farmer Microgreen Trays

Posted on May 15, 2021

Bootstrap Farmers Microgreen Tastes good, fresh, green veggies on your table. The Bootstrap Farmer is a custom manufactured tray which can be easily installed on your kitchen windows and used to grow fresh new vegetables. The trays come in three sizes, depending on how many vegetables you plan to plant. This article will tell you how to plant, prepare and eat your microgreens.

If you have never planted vegetables with Teflon coated wood then you are missing a very important step. This film protects the food from bacteria but it also makes the growth unstable. This means that any pest or disease can quickly destroy your crop. For this reason it is very important that you make sure the surface you are planting on is safe for growing. The best way to test it is by placing a piece of tape directly on the bottom of the tray.

After you have removed any dirt, dust or debris you need to spread some paper towels on it to ensure that there is no moisture present. Next put a layer of soil on the bottom. After that plant your microgreen seeds evenly all around the tray. When the seeds are fully planted, you will need to pull them out. Do this in a careful manner so as not to damage the lower leaf nodes.

Once the micro green seedlings are planted, you should water the tray once daily to keep them moist. You do not want to over water as you will rot the roots. After the first couple of weeks you will need to remove the tray and clean off any excess dirt or leaves. Reinstall the tray and repot the seeds. Continue this process until the trays are clear of leaves and discolored. This may take several months and in my experience you should see a black thumb rather than a green thumb.

As for the design of the planters, you can go with a simple planter or go with a more unique design. Some people like to show off their growing microgreen crops and some like to use them for decoration. If you’re going for the decoration look then simply mix up some leftover material from other projects, paint it a different color and add some plant growths on it. This can be done before or after you plant your microgreen planters.

Another option that you have is to purchase some planter pots. These are great for allowing your plant growth to spread out but you do have to make sure they have enough room to acclimate to its new environment. The bootstrap farmers have a couple different sizes to choose from. The biggest being the 40 quart planter and the smallest being the 20 quart planter.

Bootstrap farmers also offers a hydroponic system with each planter containing individually wrapped hydroponic growing trays. This allows the plants to have constant humidity and air circulation. Most of the trays are made of glass and they come in three different colors. One blue, one clear and one red. There are also some planters that are made of mesh but these particular ones tend not to grow as well due to not having the proper air circulation and temperature.

Bootstrap Farmers also has separate planters that are perfect for container gardening. Each one has its own color and style. They are also available in four different varieties. These include the original white, clear, gold, and tan planters and even stainless steel planters. If you’re not sure which one you would like to purchase simply give them a try and you might just find the perfect one to fit your taste.
